Gig photography

I recently completed a digital photography course at my local college. As part of this I had to produce several pictures linked to a particular genre of photography. Being a massive live music fan and regular gig goer I tried my hand at a bit of music photography. I went to small local venues where they wouldn’t mind me bringing in a DSLR and used my Nikon D3200 with the Nikon 35mm f1.8 Lens. Even with this relatively fast lens due to the dark conditions shutter speeds often dropped to lower than I would like, even when shooting wide open. However, I did get some I was happy with!

Due to the number of band members I wish I had a wider prime lens for this group!
