I made an earlier post about shooting film at my sisters wedding: https://liztylerphotography.com/2013/12/14/shooting-film-at-a-wedding/ Here I shared a couple of images from a wedding I attended. These are some of the images I took (with assistance from Alastair Ballentyne when I needed to do bridesmaid duties) using my Nikon D3200.
Here’s me being silly in the wedding car…

Great photos. I especially like the black-and-white shot of the dance.
Thanks!
hey liz ..i loved ur pics… i am a beginner in photography too ..i even have te same camera…its just that ur pics are great ..!!! which software did u use?
Thanks, I really like the Nikon 3200, I think it’s a great camera, I found it so easy to learn on! In my older pictures like these from last year I just used the packaged Nikon software which was alright but really really slow. I now use Lightroom which I much prefer and if I revisited these photos I am sure they would look better with Lightroom! I also have photoshop but only use it if I need to do massive edits, like a lot of cloning or selective editing. I really recommend the Nikon 55-300mm Dx lens, it is really cheap and has lots of reach, and with a 3200 it is a really light set up!
Thanks for looking!
This is amazing how did you pics come out so clear? I use the 18mm-55mm. Maybe I should get the 55-300mm DX also?
Thanks! The 55-300mm is a surprisingly good lens considering it’s cheap ( for a lens) thanks for reading
I am photographing a wedding coming up and use the same camera. What lens did you find yourself using the most the 55-300 or the 18-55?
use the same camera for my food styling classes.. may i know what lens do you use during the wedding besides the 55-300 lens?
On this one I also used the Nikon DX 35mm prime lens but I prefer the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 lens now as the zoom helps!
I’m saving money to buy the sigma 17-50 mm 2.8 lens. But don’t know which one is better between tamron or sigma. Is your tamron sharp?
Yes my Tamron is really good!
hi, i was just wondering whether you could leave a link to the lens you used for this shoot or is it this lens: http://www.johnlewis.com/nikon-dx-55-300mm-f-4-5-5-6g-ed-vr-af-s-telephoto-lens/p231621027?sku=231621027&kpid=231621027&s_kenid=3b082b11-d915-401e-ae23-fc05af10146c&s_kwcid=402×386553&tmad=c&tmcampid=73
Thanks
Yes, it was just the nikon 55-300mm DX lens, I actually bought mine from eBay,as a grey import because it was much cheaper around £150
ok thanks, do you recommend any other good and cheap lenses?
